Large billboard on top of a building during sunset. It's made out of colored wildflower packets and makes an image of 8-bit style flowers in different colors sitting on grass in front of a blue sky. Once of the center's of the flowers has Generation Wild type. The bottom of the board reads "Bee our future. Spread Wilderflowers."

Bees are becoming less common outdoors. And so are our kids.

Colorado’s Western Bumblebee population has declined by 70%. But they’re not the only ones. You’re also less likely to see Colorado’s kids buzzing around outside. Great Outdoors Colorado and Generation Wild are on a mission to rewild our kids. We thought joining that mission to save the bees would be a win-win.

We worked with Colorado State University Seed Lab to develop Wilderflowers, wildflower seeds specifically designed to be Colorado pollinator magnets. We then designed and distributed 100,000 free packages through a partnership with public and Little Free Libraries across the state.

The integrated campaign used billboards, point-of-sale, digital and social to get the state buzzing.

Over 240 partners across Colorado signed up to distribute free seeds. Over 50 pieces of news coverage helped spread the word. Visits to GenerationWild.com increased 98% year-over-year with 99% of visitors new to the site. 53 million Wilderflower seeds have been spread across Colorado.
