Shaving the way to a healthier Wyoming.

The Wyoming Department of Health was facing a crisis. Misinformation surrounding the Covid-19 vaccine lowered confidence in proven vaccines and the state began to see a decline in vaccination rates across all adult and childhood diseases.

To tackle this hesitancy, we had to get their attention and disarm the controversy. The people of Wyoming have a genuine sense of gratitude for the life they get to enjoy. And rightfully so. Their gratitude is shaped by a reverence for those who came before them, the beauty of the magnificent landscape and their appreciation for the rural lifestyle. Inspired by a true story from 1922 in Basin, WY, the film taps into that history to show just how different life was before vaccines.

It worked. Vaccination rates for proven vaccines are up year over year, 19% for adults and 2.5% for children. We also caught the attention of some pretty impressive folks — taking home silver at the 2024 Clio Health Awards. Proving that public health advertising doesn’t have to be boring.
